Oakfield Primary School and Resource Provision are seeking to appoint an inspiring and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher. This is a new post which has been created to expand the leadership capacity and support the school through a period of rapid improvement. The post is mainly non – teaching with a small responsibility for Y6 groups in the Spring.
Oakfield is a vibrant and busy school that has a resource provision for sixteen children, which is set to increase in the new academic year. The successful candidate will work closely in partnership alongside the Head of School, Executive Head, and leadership team in leading the strategic direction and development of our school.

• have proven leadership skills in school improvement and curriculum innovation
• be an exemplary classroom practitioner and be able to model and coach their fantastic teaching.
• have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour, particularly for those children with a range of SEND.
• have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues
• be committed to working in partnership with our parents and the local community
• be part of the safeguarding team by adopting the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
