This role is to lead the development of our 24-place SEND Unit for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties, with a focus on leading teaching & learning and the curriculum. The postholder will have a teaching responsibility for the KS2 SEND Unit class and will receive dedicated non-contact time to fulfil their leadership role.

We are looking to appoint someone who:

  • is an experienced teacher of children with complex SEND
  • is passionate about the rights of children with SEND and ambitious for their achievement every day.
  • shows compassion, resilience and patience in their care for children with SEND.
  • holds every child and their family in the highest possible regard and lead by example, having high expectations of what every child can achieve.

You will benefit from a newly refurbished setting, with high quality resources. The appointed candidate will work alongside our SENCo and will be well-supported by the Senior Leadership Team and The Enquire Learning Trust who are committed to providing the very best teaching and learning for all our children and are ambitious for their achievement. As part of our team, you will have access to extensive continuous professional development from both the Trust and Local Authority.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of SEND provision at Oakfield, and you will have the opportunity to bring your expertise to shape our future work.

Come and join the team – be bothered!
