Vacancy – Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
Elliston Primary Academy is seeking to recruit a self-motivated, reliable, proactive and organised person to join our amazing teaching and learning team. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to become part of Elliston Primary Academy.
Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week Contract Type: Fixed Term (for 1 year)
Working Weeks: 39 weeks per year Start Date: September 2026
Salary Scale: NJC SCP 3 Location: Elliston Primary Academy

About the role
To assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils, to enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them and to provide a high standard of personal care as required and in accordance with children’s individual needs.
We are looking for a Team Member who:

- Can contribute to a climate where children and adults feel safe and thrive
- Has a desire to further improve their skills and knowledge and is committed to collaboration
- Has excellent team working skills
- Is dedicated to fostering excellent relationships with children and staff
- Has a passion for SEN and can work adaptively to supporting children with an EHCP
- Is able to use problem-solving, planning and decision-making skills
